Stir Crazy!

I wish I had something really fabulous to post about, but this is our reality today:

And this is just the BASEMENT! I won't post on here my ever-climbing pile of dishes and laundry that are crying mercy from the other parts of the house! I am sick with a beastly chest cold, have been house-bound since Friday night and winter has decided to make a comeback in the form of a snowstorm. Although I don't feel well enough to get out today in the freezing weather, I am stranded without a car (I make Peter take the Rodeo when it snows) and I think I might lose my mind today! This little saying that my aunt Vickie taught me long ago comes to mind on a day like today...

Crazy? I was crazy once! They put me in a room! A rubber
room! With rubber rats! I hate rubber rats, they drive me
CRAZY! Crazy? I was crazy once...

You get the idea! At least Peter had the morning off today since the schools were canceled. He let me sleep in and had his first chance this winter to play in the snow with the boys. Here is a cute shot of them - maybe the one happy moment we'll capture all day!

That picture is absolutely adorable! What beautiful boys! Oh, friend, I hope you feel better soon. And I think all of us SAHM's can relate to those days when we wonder if we will truly survive until the end of the day. Hugs to you.

That picture is priceless! I'm glad that Peter was home so you could get some rest. The chores will always be there, so just take it easy and get better.

P.S. I forgot about that "crazy" verse! I remember Eric saying it over and over and over!!! He drove me crazy!

Amen to the stir crazy and bring on that rubber room!! We are in the same situation as you--if only we lived a wee bit closer...

My sibs and I always used to say that rubber room thing too. Who makes these things up??!

Oh, my friend, I'm so sorry! I was just in your shoes last week...minus the snow and freezing weather. I think my house just might be on the chaos mend!
That picture of your boys is just so cute! Just looking at that will put a smile on your face!

Poor YOU! And on top of feeling down and out, more snow? Yuck! I am so sorry! Hooray for Peter being home to help out and play with the boys! You're going to wake up tomorrow, feel fabulous, and have a lovely day!!! :)

Our rubber room was a bit different - perhaps a Canadian twist! I feel for you. Your house will be clean once again, and your children will never remember the hours of tv, but will cherish the hours of uninterrupted play and Daddy time! Feel better.

Man, I am done with snow, sickness, winter, and never-ending house messes! I can relate all too well! I hope you get to feeling better soon. I wish there was some way I could help. Here's hoping you get to escape it all for a little Valentine's celebrating!
