Humble Pie

Okay, I must have needed to be humbled or something after all of my gloating about loving it here, because today I have felt really lonely. It may be because Peter is leaving tomorrow for a long weekend trip, and I feel like I'm barely finding my way around. It might be the gray sky outside today, or the fact that I haven't showered yet and it is 12:30. Ultimately, I think that moving is just hard some days.

Jared and I have moved so many times, and I can honestly say that each time it's been so hard. It is just hard to tear yourself out of your nice comfortable surroundings and start over again. Hope things will feel a little brighter soon. Find a way to treat yourself to some fun this weekend while Peter's gone. You and Peter are such great friends to other people. The city is lucky to have you.

I definitely agree you should have a pamper session. Moving is hard, change is hard and its easy to have days where you just can't be bothered. Be good to yourself though--all these feelings are normal!

Sending you huge Kansas hugs friend!! I think you need some fun movies - McDonald's Red Box, $1 a night movies! And some double churn ice cream... so you can twice as much as you should and not feel terrible about it the next day!

Moving is hard and especially if your hubby is leaving you when you are down! Just go out and find something you enjoy doing and hopefully that will make you feel a little better!

How are you feeling today my friend? Days like this are bound to sneak up on us from time to time, just get out and do some of the things suggested by the previous posts. I'm sure you'll be bound to finding more fun stuff and if anything, you'll be just a little more acquainted with the area!
And just think, I be by next week you'll be so busy again with Parker starting school and that always brings carpool's and activities! Hugs my cheez! Thinking of you!

I agree with debbi--never under estimate the healing powers of chocolate! I'm sure things will get better soon. It's kinda like the lull after the honeymoom.
