Our biggest news of the day...Peter just passed his dissertation proposal! Yipee! I can't emphasize enough how hard he has worked over the past few months to get to this point, and I am so proud of him! Now we are officially outta here next summer, and on to an internship! Thanks to everyone for their love & support! On Saturday we made our annual family trek to Schaake's Pumpkin Patch. It was a gorgeous day to be out and we were really impressed with the patch this year! Many pumpkins to choose from, and tons of really huge ones to dream about affording & carving someday. Parker's favorite part was the tractor/hay ride. The minute it dropped us off, he wanted right back on. Forget the pumpkins!
He has, however, been obsessed lately with watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and will randomly declare lines from it while he's playing. Some favorites include: "'Contact!' he shouts!," "I've got a signed document!," & "French countryside!" To my dismay, one day he even called me a "blockhead." You will probably only get those if you've seen the show, and even then, you will probably need a refresher course. I'll admit that I'm the one who gets him excited to watch holiday classics like these - it's just not Halloween without the Great Pumpkin!

Congratulations to Peter on all his hard work. It surely has paid off. The picture is so cute! I want to take Natalie soon to get a pumpkin for Halloween.
CONGRATULATIONS!! You have all worked hard to get to this point--what a wonderful feeling! What are you doing to celebrate?? I wish we could join in the party with you!
You definately need to celebrate - with more than a wagon ride!!! My mom just sent me "The Peanuts Book of Pumpkin Carols" from our childhood - do you have this? I should send you some of the songs if you don't!
LOVES!
Wow, congratulations to Peter and to his supportive wifey and kiddos! That is so fantastic. I LOVE the picture of the boys. So festive.

Congrats to all of you!!
How exciting for Peter? Could his internship possibly be in ... Texas? :)
You're making us miss Lawrence with your pumpkin story, though. I'm sure they have pumpkin patches in Dallas somewhere.
Oh my goodness Michelle, when Madelyn and Dallin were tiny they loved watching the Charlie Brown where snoopy goes and visits his old owner in her apartment. "Snoooopy, snoooopy, snoopy, where did you go? Come home, come home." Love that blockhead Charlie Brown. Infact I'll have to post some camping pictures where we have rightfully named Nathan pigpen because it's like a cloud of dust follows him. I love the fall, I love pumpkin patches, and all of the yummy holidays start. Cute boys Mickey!
Parker was so cute in nursery. He is STILL talking about going to the pumpkin patch!
Parker is just too cute! Love the pumpkin patch memories!
Oh, and HELLO!!! Congrats to Peter and the family on the Proposal! Your very hard work is paying off! Can't wait to see where "the winds of psychology" take y'all!
