Here is a pic of Parker at our playgroup's annual "Cinco de Mayo" party. No matter that today is el "Quatro de Mayo," the kids had a blast making maracas, learning the Mexican hat dance & busting open a pinata with WAY too much candy inside. Fun times.
I'm trying to wean Parker off of the binkie today. He still takes it to go to sleep at naptime and at night. Right now it is naptime, and he is throwing a fit in his bedroom. Any brainy ideas/solutions to this issue would be appreciated!

Michelle! I have been a anonymous reader of your blog and now will break into the world of comments! Tyler used to take 6 or 7 "soothers" to bed with him. We finally got him down to leaving them under his pillow whenever it was time to wake up... that was good, but when he went to the dentist when he turned 2. The dentist told him he would have to stop... we made a chart with 7 spots to go without a soother and then he got to go to Mcdonalds. It wasn't the chart for him, it was the dentist... he filled up that chart in just a couple of days! That's what worked for us, but I recognize it can be tough. Talk to Sister Rytting... one of her kids still had one till age 5 (mostly just to keep him quiet in church!)
Take care and good luck!
