Ay...time has gotten away from me once again!
Parker turned eight in April. Such a fun age. Before we get to the celebrations, here are a few fun facts about our big eight-year-old...first, we give you this questionnaire he filled out at school recently:
Height & Weight: 50 inches & 54 pounds
Obsessions: riding his bike (he recently learned to ride without training wheels!) - this has got to be number one. He LOVES riding his bike. I think we need to get our hands on a copy of the movie "Rad"...he also loves legos, drawing, reading Garfield books, and like his mother, is addicted to just about anything fun. He loves being a Cub Scout, taking care of his first pet - a beta named "Big Blue", loves Star Wars anything, and he still loves his stuffed doggies.
Favorite Song: Sweet Home Alabama...he just taught himself to play this on the piano.
Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Book: Anything Garfield
Favorite Toy: Legos or Cars
Favorite Words/Phrases: any exclamation you can think of (our boy is in awe of something at any given time of the day), "poof" - he and Connor's word, "what the heck?", "cuckoo" (in response to someone acting a little crazy), and a few choice phrases referencing how things would/will be different if he was in charge.
Amazes us with: His new ability to pick up on new things quickly - and the bravery involved in doing so (he learned to ride his bike in 10 minutes), his gratitude, his awesome ability to memorize and teach himself songs on the piano, his enthusiasm, his sensitivity to others' feelings, his diligence in focusing on schoolwork, and his tolerance & love for Tyler. We love you, sweet boy!

What a cute guy! Garfield!! Yes, my boys have been big fans of his too. Congrats on learning to ride a bike, Parker!
Michelle, I've thought often of our meeting at Rock Canyon. Friend, it meant so much to catch up and see you. So sad to live so far away from each other! You and Peter are some of the very nicest, funnest people we've ever been lucky enough to know. Love you.
Love our sweet Parker boy! I can't believe he is growing up so fast.
