Ensign Ranch Camping

Last June we camped with our great friends the Laws, the McFarlanes & the Amundsons at Ensign Ranch in the Cascades.  We had a great time canoeing, playing games & hiking around the campground. 

I was sick most of the time and super lame at taking pictures, but I did get two!

I thought this was hilarious -

a line of four minivans is a definite sign that we are all in the early family stage of life!

We did paper bag skits - here is one of the Amundsons trying to act out their skit

with very random items!

Early Summer in the Backyard

Our berry crop was awesome last year.  We got tons of raspberries as well,

but missed most of them while we were on vacation in the summer.

but the boys had so much fun in the dirt that we just left it like this!

Birdwatchers, Bugwatchers

Parker & Tyler took up an interest last summer in birdwatching. 

We spent a few afternoons down by the Columbia River with our bird guides, notebooks and binoculars in hand to catch a glimpse of the many varieties that live down there. 

On that particular day, we had more luck finding bugs than birds,

which proved to be just as interesting!

Spokane Getaway

Peter and I got away to Spokane for a weekend in May to see Wicked

and enjoy Brad & Katie's company at the Melting Pot.
